Decora is an Afro-Latino hip hop artist, DJ, and performance poet based in New York’s Hudson Valley. He is best known for his unique brand of live performance composition, which unites a folk music ethos with hip hop for social change.

His writing began as an adolescent as he was raised in a Dominican/ Puerto Rican/ Barbadian household. Using his deep latin influence, Decora began to develop his cadence on the Hip Hop scene. By the time he started college in upstate New York, he was ready to perform.

After years of touring around the world with an all latino spoken word group, acting on HBO Latino and winning at the Apollo; Decora began his solo career and in 2015 he released his debut album titled “Bread and Oats”.

Decora has since shared bills and stage with Lauryn Hill, Lenny Kravitz, Kaytranada, Saul Williams and Run DMC to name a few. 2015/2016 proved to be a successful year as Decora curated large productions intertwining performance and visual arts centered around his music.

After performing across the U.S. and Canada, headlining a festival in the Pacific Northwest, interviewing for MTV and NPR, Decora received rave reviews by the influential media publications such as Highsnobiety, Chronogram, Upstater and AfroPunk. Decora's 2017 world tour is already underway after selling out Lincoln Center with his second album entitled, “Beyond Belief”.
