The Lobby Series continues with 16-year-old guitar sensation Ausiàs Parejo who will perform Spanish and Latin American repertoire for the closing day of the 17th annual Latin American Culture Week (LACW).

Parejo, born into a family of musicians, has already been awarded first prize in 33 national and international competitions. He is gaining fame for his ability to alternate between great technique and delicate passages, combining subtle nuances and virtuosity. Examples of his past performances can be found here.

LACW is organized by the nonprofit Pan American Musical Art Research, Inc. (PAMAR), which seeks to promote better understanding between the various cultures and countries of the Americas, primarily through an ongoing and vital exchange of their music, musicians, and dancers.

The Lobby Series aims to introduce local residents to great performers from Washington Heights and around the world. It is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
